Where Real Life Grows Wild and Wonderfully
Perched on the edge of the Blue Mountains, just beyond the bend of 5194 Jenolan Caves Road, Kenzell Farm isn’t your typical escape. It’s not polished for perfection or staged for the spotlight — and that’s exactly what makes it unforgettable.
Here, the days begin with mist rising over the paddocks, and end with the laughter of children chasing goats through golden grass. This is where time slows down just enough for you to catch your breath, dig your hands into the soil, and remember what connection really feels like. To the land. To the animals. To each other.
Kenzell Farm began not as a grand vision, but as a quiet promise — a promise to keep something deeply important alive. In 2019, just one month after taking the reins from her parents who ran the accommodation side for over 20 years, Jacqui Harman faced the unthinkable: bushfires, followed by floods, COVID lockdowns, and road closures that isolated her small piece of paradise.
But some places aren’t easily broken. They’re built on resilience, on love, and on a belief that even in hardship, something beautiful can grow.
Kenzell Farm is that belief made real — a working farm turned inclusive sanctuary, where every visitor finds a piece of themselves they didn’t know was missing. From cuddly goats to cheeky llamas, from hands-on animal care to paddock picnics and crackling campfires, every moment here is alive with authenticity. It’s a place where city kids learn where eggs come from, where families reconnect without screens, and where those with different abilities are welcomed with open arms and open hearts.
More than a destination, Kenzell Farm is a movement — toward slower living, deeper purpose, and shared joy. With dreams of becoming a hub for inclusive agritourism and supported experiences, Jacqui envisions a future where everyone, regardless of ability, can find work, confidence, and healing through nature.
The farm’s story doesn’t end in the paddocks. It runs deep — through the rich soil of Bathurst’s backroads, where Jacqui’s ancestors once guided visitors through the majesty of Jenolan Caves. That legacy of welcome, wonder, and storytelling lives on here — passed down not in history books, but in the warm smiles of visitors, the rustle of eucalyptus in the wind, and the contented sighs of those who’ve finally found somewhere they belong.
Because Kenzell Farm isn’t about escaping life. It’s about returning to it — messier, richer, more real.
A place to slow down. To dig deep.To be part of something that matters.
