From festivals and food experiences to community celebrations and cultural moments, our Event Calendar is designed to drive visitation, extend stays and showcase the very best of our region.
If you have an event that visitors would travel for, we want to hear about it.
What We’re Looking For
We prioritise events that:
- Have a strong visitor appeal
- Encourage overnight stays or weekend travel
- Showcase the character of Bathurst & Backroads e.g. heritage, culture, food & wine, outdoors and community connection
- Support regional dispersal across our villages and trails
Think: food & wine events, markets, festivals, workshops, performances, sporting events and unique local experiences.
Who Can Submit an Event?
• Elevate Bathurst & Bathurst & Backroads Partners
Partners can submit events directly for review and inclusion.
• Non-Partner Event Hosts
Not a partner yet? No problem, your event can still be considered with endorsement from an existing Partner.
What You’ll Need to Submit
To give your event the best chance of being featured, please include:
- Event name, date(s) and time
- Location (venue + town/village)
- A short, visitor-focused description
- Booking or ticket link (if applicable)
- 1–3 high-quality images (portrait preferred for social use)
- Contact details for enquiries
- Partner endorsement (if required)
How It Works

- Our team will review for quality, alignment and visitor appeal
- Approved events will be published on the Bathurst & Backroads website
- Selected events may also be featured across:
- Social media
- Consumer eDMs
- Seasonal campaigns & Story Trails
